Partner Songs

One of the ways to produce polyphonic texture is through "Partner Songs." Partner songs are melodies which fit together in such a way that they sound good when performed together. They are melodies performed as independent musical voices. Because two or more melodic voices are performed at the same time, harmony is created.

** IMPORTANT DEFINITION **
Partner Songs are independent melodies which can be performed together to produce harmony.
